Mom and dad and eldest child went off in costume, dressed as they imagined people might have dressed at that time, my memory is only of mini skirts, but that was too dull, so instead they went as punk rockers. Dad covered himself with silver looking jewellery, things which looked like piercing on his face and nose, rings on his fingers and lots of necklaces Then to top it off he combed his hair into a sort of a mohawk, put red hair spray into it. He then put on a torn at the sleeves t shirt with sayings on it.. Wife not so outlandish but lots of makeup and red streaks in hair, daughter was horrified but had to go with them so put on dark eye liners, she convinced her father not to do up his eyes. They bought funny leather looking bracelets with studs and cut off black leather gloves. I wondered if it made them feel different, did it make them feel that they could do violence? I remember seeing people dressed in this fashion and wondered what it made them feel like. If you stared at them they got mad, but I assumed that they dressed like that to be different, to attract some kind of attention. oh well.
It was a celebration of a schools 40th year.
I have take some photos. they speak for themselves.
