SO far I have received several of these, they are prescriptions for everything, from Anti-Thrombose force 11 stockings.. ( yes that is the name and you hand in the ordonnance into the pharmacy and voila.
Tomorrow we go to the labs for blood work.. and what a list.
for blood
y starting with the temperature of blood, and ending with unknown tests which my daughter tells me are interesting.. Hep B and C and HIV.. to blood type etc. and then of course they want your "urine" .
One has to wait for the results, or go and get them and take them yourself to the meeting with the anaesthetist.. as you know , most of our medical test results are forwarded to the physician who ordered them.. In France you begin to amalgamate your own file carrying the lab results and the X-rays.
I am told that some of these results take quite a long time to actually be produced.. so perhaps they like to know even after the fact.
In the latest information from France Surgery we now know that the operation on Tuesday will happen at 1300.
When I get to the hospital I shall be greeted by an english speaking person who will see me through the admitting procedure etc. This suits my daughter who will probably just drop me and return to her children.
