home, politics and mink

It is early wednesday morning.. as usual up at about 0500.. opened computer to find that the wonderful neighbour who is taking care of the house found a large mink in the basket right beside the front door and that the large french doors were not properly shut.. hard to give instructions about how to close those tricky doors.

Trying to write sensibly about the enforced  meeting of the PIA.. without being too emotional.  Thankfully there are other members of the group who keep a clear head .

What I am wondering, is why would a mink be in this basket and how long has he/she been there.  My dear friend who was rooting around in the basket looking for a key was lucky not to be bitten.
what liability is that?  neighbour watching over house.. bitten by mink.. sepsis.. trauma. my heavens the possibilities are endless.

Eldest grandchild up, porridge eaten, dog loved, and now daughter walking  her and;  child has left for her very long day.

I have a niece who spent her adult life writing clear instructions for the use of tricky machinery.. and that is how I viewed writing the instructions about closing and keeping closed those french doors.  Is it appropriate that they are called FRENCH doors.. like FRENCH windows.. how did that happen.  ?
