We went to collect my test results, there were 22 different tests. We had to pay 171 euros but France Surgery is sending us cheque, the lab was supposed to bill them.
I was glad to note that I did not have HIV nor the various Hepatitus problems. I suppose these tests are important for the surgeon to know/ do people who are HI V positive or who have Hep, get operated on.. and are there special procedures? I would imagine so.
Carine Hilaire from France Surgery spoke to me at length this morning. She has arranged for my daughter and I to be met at the Clinique tomorrow. This person will speak english and will know who I am. If I did not have my daughter living in FRance then they would have arranged for me to be met at the plane, then this person would have "held my hand" for the rest of the stay.
So far this year they have had over 150 people to deal with, but they are trying to increase the business. France Surgery just started about 2 years ago. Am not sure what I would have had to do before they were formed. I suspect I would have had to find my own Clinique etc. They told me that the majority of their clients come from the UK.
